Want to Cool Off? Head to Ponce de Leon Springs State Park!

Is the heat of Summer 2023 unbearable?  Are you looking for an alternative to the beach during your stay?  Enjoy the 68 degree year-round temperature of the natural springs at Ponce de Leon State Park!

Ponce de Leon State Park is located approximately one hour from the Emerald Air 30A Townhome, and it’s a great experience for you and your family to cool off and see another side of Florida’s natural beauty for a few hours.  Florida State Parks never disappoint, and Ponce de Leon is no exception.

Things to do at Ponce de Leon State Park:

The main feature of the park is the cold springs.  Take the plunge into the main pool to cool off, and put on your snorkel mask to observe the natural environment in the crystal-clear water.  Under the water you can see roots of trees, small fish and even some largemouth bass lurking in the area.  Once you feel the need to warm your body temperature back up a bit, you can exit the main pool and wade or tube downstream in the shallow stream, or you can take a walk on the beautiful nature trails.

The park has restroom and changing facilities, and also has picnic tables, bbq grills and a volleyball court.  Full information can be found on the park website:
